Developed by Ryosuke Fukusada for Fiam Italia, the design is based on the unique "Sankayou" flower found in only a small number of mountainous areas of Japan. The petals become transparent under certain conditions, making them look like fine glasswork.
This pendant light is constructed with a decorative diffuser made of 6 mm-thick high-temperature fused glass. The finish of the frame is in burnished brass. Two different glass finishes are available as well. The modern Tau pendant light is made in Italy, guaranteeing quality and style.

Ryosuke FukusadaRyosuke Fukusada is a Japanese born designer who has worked in both Japan and Italy, and the different cultures influence his work. After studying product design at Kanazawa College of Art, Fukusada began working at a design company in Japan to gain real-world experience before transferring to Domus Academy in Italy where he received his degree.
Before starting his design firm in 2012, Fukusada worked with the iconic designer Patricia Urquiola, learning a lot from her expertise. His designs are inspired by nature and use contrast colors and materials to make a statement in a contemporary space.
