A sleek and streamlined silhouette, composed of a slender central post and a disc-like shade, is wholly unobtrusive. It looks smart next to a sofa, chair, bed, etc.; wherever it sits, it provides elegant, warm light. It can actually be transported between any of the previously mentioned areas easily, thanks to its light and portable nature and the fact it forgoes wires, instead functioning through USB charging. Receiving different levels of light is readily achievable; loosen the shade and guide it up or down the post, then tighten it again when it’s in the perfect position in order to receive more or less light.
Between the post and the shade, there are several customization choices to make; there are two wood finishes for the former and six rich colors for the latter. An optional pedestal is available in white, terracotta, or black; this pedestal acts as a small table to place keys, wallets, a phone, etc., further tacking on to this lamp’s utilitarian qualities. The Nivel floor lamp is designed by Pablo Pardo and manufactured by Pablo Designs.
